Labcorp Reports Strong Q2 2026 Results and Raises Guidance for the Full Year
Labcorp Holdings Inc. has recently released its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, showcasing impressive growth in revenue and earnings per share (EPS), as well as a positive outlook for the rest of the year. The company saw revenue increase to $3.73 billion for the quarter, a 5.8% uplift compared to $3.53 billion from the same period last year. The diluted EPS surged 28.5%, rising to $3.64 from $2.84.

Along with these results, Labcorp has also revised its guidance for the full year of 2026, indicating an annual revenue growth forecast of 5.4% to 6.3%, setting adjusted EPS in the range of $18.10 to $18.55. This adjustment marks a 30-cent increase at the midpoint from previous projections. Additionally, the company announced a $1.0 billion increase in its share repurchase authorization, bringing the total remaining authorization to $1.4 billion.
In terms of advancements in cancer care, Labcorp introduced the Marker by Labcorp™, a genetic health panel aimed at providing individuals with personalized genetic insights. Furthermore, the company unveiled significant developments in its oncology offerings, including the introduction of an advanced DPYD genotyping test, which helps identify patients at risk for adverse reactions to chemotherapy. Labcorp also launched ColoSense®, the first FDA-approved RNA-based colorectal cancer screening test that can be collected at home, enhancing accessibility to crucial cancer screenings.
As of the second quarter, Labcorp recorded $225.7 million in investments through acquisitions and spent $353.8 million repurchasing stock, while maintaining a cash and cash equivalents balance of $141.8 million. The company has displayed a disciplined approach to capital allocation, balancing growth investments with shareholder returns, especially given the backdrop of recent acquisitions of laboratory services from Parkview Health, and Tribal Diagnostics.
