Kauhale Health Expands Memory Care Services with Acquisition and Recapitalization

Kauhale Health Expands Memory Care Footprint

Kauhale Health has made significant strides in the memory care sector by completing the acquisition of The Grande at Creve Coeur, a distinguished Class A memory care community located in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Additionally, the organization has successfully recapitalized its Kauhale Centerville facility in Centerville, Ohio. These activities mark a notable achievement for Kauhale Health, being their fourth acquisition within a span of four years, showing their commitment to growth in the senior living space.

Overview of the Acquisition

The Grande at Creve Coeur will be rebranded as Kauhale Creve Coeur, reflecting the company's objective of delivering premium memory care services. This community, which was built in 2017, is strategically located on nearly two acres just 14 miles west of downtown St. Louis, providing a balance of suburban tranquility and city convenience. The facility boasts private suites, a stylish dining room, a creative studio, dedicated therapy rooms, comfortable resident lounges, inviting outdoor spaces, and a serene central courtyard.

Kauhale Health recognizes the promising growth potential within the area. Notably, the demographic of residents aged 75 and older is considerably larger than the national average, accompanied by median household incomes and average net worth that surpass national metrics.

Recapitalization Efforts

Alongside this acquisition, Kauhale Health has executed a recapitalization plan for the Kauhale Centerville facility. This Class A memory care community was acquired in 2024 and is set to benefit from a secured loan from Coastal States Bank, a key financial partner for the company. Blake F. Church, the Executive Managing Director of Kauhale Health, expressed optimism regarding their ongoing access to capital, which is crucial for advancing their growth strategy, especially in the current competitive landscape.

“This acquisition showcases our ability to secure the necessary funds to propel our expansion strategy,” Church stated. He goes on to emphasize how they are steadily advancing their presence in the senior living and memory care sectors, bolstered by strong relationships with their lenders and investors.
