Indonesia's Luxurious Presence at ILTM Cannes 2025
The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia (MoT) is gearing up for a significant showcase at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in Cannes, France. From December 1 to 4, 2025, Indonesia aims to strengthen its foothold in the global luxury travel market, drawing attention to its exquisite offerings and natural beauty.
ILTM Cannes is renowned as the premier marketplace for luxury travel, attracting over 2,200 global buyers from 85 countries and leading international media. Indonesia's participation in this prestigious event is a strategic move to elevate the country’s international visibility, deepen partnerships, and reestablish its reputation as a top-tier destination for affluent travelers.
Recently, Indonesia has gained recognition in the luxury sector, with 33 Indonesian hotels receiving the Michelin Keys 2025 accolade. Additionally, several establishments were featured in the Tatler Best Awards 2025, which recognized the top 100 hotels in the Asia-Pacific region. These achievements underscore Indonesia’s status as a world-class destination for luxury accommodations, fine dining, and exceptional hospitality.
At ILTM Cannes 2025, Indonesia plans to conduct over 100 pre-scheduled business meetings with prominent decision-makers in luxury tourism. The country will present its curated premium offerings, which include coastal destinations, wellness retreats, gourmet dining experiences, yachts, private travel options, and customized tourism services. Noteworthy collaborations for this edition include partnerships with renowned Indonesian luxury brands such as Celestia (yachts), Samabe Bali Suites and Villas, and One Eleven Resorts Bali.
These activities aim to support the global branding campaign of the Ministry, titled "Go Beyond Ordinary." Deputy Minister for Marketing, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, emphasizes that this initiative positions Indonesia not just as a destination of extraordinary natural beauty but also as an emotional journey enriched by culinary wealth, cultural warmth, and serene landscapes.
The MoT confirms that participating in ILTM Cannes 2025 is part of a broader strategy to establish Indonesia as a premium travel destination, offering exclusive, authentic, and meaningful experiences for discerning travelers worldwide. "The ILTM presents Indonesia with a crucial platform to showcase our premium products directly to the world's most influential luxury travel partners. It accelerates our efforts to enhance our global competitiveness in the luxury segment while reinforcing our commitment to sustainable and quality tourism growth," notes Marthini.
In conclusion, Indonesia’s appearance at ILTM Cannes represents a significant commitment to re-establish its presence in the luxury travel market. By showcasing its unique cultures, lush landscapes, and high-quality services, Indonesia aims to attract more high-end travelers seeking an unforgettable experience. As the world’s attention turns to Cannes, Indonesia is set to embody the essence of luxury travel, promising visitors not just stunning destinations but also rich cultural narratives and unparalleled hospitality.
