In a significant development for the automotive industry, hlpy, an Italian startup, has been selected by Volkswagen Group France to manage the digitization and delivery of its roadside assistance services. The announcement was made on October 22, 2025, with hlpy already in operational testing since early October and aiming for a full launch by November. The new service package, characterized by a fully digital framework, includes the innovative "B-call" emergency calling feature, ensuring continuous connectivity between drivers and hlpy's advanced platform.

Volkswagen Group France, which oversees multiple well-known automotive brands including Volkswagen, Audi, ŠKODA, and SEAT, serves approximately four million users in France. With around 270,000 new registrations annually, this partnership aims to expand hlpy’s influence and operational capacity within a strong market, which stands as the largest in Europe after Germany.

This strategic alliance positions hlpy to provide more than 500,000 services across Europe by 2026, marking a significant milestone within the company’s growth trajectory. Since its inception in May 2020, hlpy has been redefining vehicle assistance, shifting towards a seamless digital user experience.
