On September 8, 2025, the Financial Times announced its prestigious ranking of global management master's programs for 2025. In a remarkable achievement, the Tongji University School of Economics and Management (Tongji SEM) secured the 8th position worldwide, marking its first entry into the top 10. This notable ascension demonstrates not only the quality of education at Tongji SEM but also highlights its consistent presence among the world's top 25 institutions for four consecutive years.

Tongji SEM has excelled in key performance indicators, notably achieving the number one worldwide ranking for value for money. Over a period of three years, a phenomenal 100% of graduates found employment within three months of graduation. The program also boasts an impressive 13th place in career service quality and 14th for career progression. Nearly 90% of students reported that they achieved their study goals, which included enhancing their management skills and broadening their global perspectives.

The school’s steady success can be attributed to its strong internationalization, practical learning approaches, and its integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors into the curriculum. The programs are delivered in English and attract a diverse group of cohorts from around the globe. Tongji SEM has established partnerships with over 100 leading business schools across more than 30 countries, providing a multitude of international exchange programs, including dual degree opportunities, semester exchanges, and summer courses abroad, with more than 300 opportunities for students to study globally each year.

In a bid to enhance its educational ecosystem, Tongji SEM launched its first overseas campus in Berlin in 2024.
