Discover the Unique Flavors of Fukushima with TEA&THINGS at the Charm of Fukushima Festival

TEA&THINGS: A Tasty Journey from Fukushima

TEA&THINGS, a distinctive tea brand born from the vibrant region of Fukushima, is gearing up for an exciting appearance at the upcoming Charm of Fukushima Festival. On April 4, 2026, this local tea brand will shine in the Shiawase Market, where students from Seiko Gakuin High School will showcase their innovative fruit herbal teas. The event will be a fantastic opportunity to delve into Fukushima's flavors while supporting local students in their entrepreneurial endeavors.

A Collaboration of Creativity and Nature

TEA&THINGS produces herbal teas that highlight the richness of the region's local fruits and herbs. Using ingredients that may not fit the conventional retail standards, the company crafts teas that reflect the authentic essence of Fukushima. On festival day, attendees can enjoy two specially developed drinks for 300 yen each: YASURAGI FOR YOU and HARUSORA.

YASURAGI FOR YOU

The YASURAGI FOR YOU tea blends an array of fresh ingredients, including locally sourced apples and peaches, complemented by the soothing aroma of lavender and refreshing spearmint. It’s a delightful harmony that celebrates the natural sweetness of the fruits while incorporating the therapeutic qualities of herbs.

HARUSORA

On the other hand, HARUSORA, crafted by Seiko Gakuin students set to make waves in 2025, features a refreshing flora of juniper berries alongside gentle flavors from pears and plums. This tea perfectly balances cooling elements and fruity notes, ideal for tea lovers seeking a new taste adventure.

Beyond Tea: Kimiiro Aroma Spray

Beyond tantalizing teas, the TEA&THINGS booth will also feature the Kimiiro aroma spray, developed by first-year Seiko Gakuin students, adding another layer of sensory experience for festival goers.

About TEA&THINGS

Established in 2022, TEA&THINGS is not just a tea brand but a community-driven educational project spearheaded by Miraikuru Lab in partnership with Kokage Co., Ltd. and Fukushima University, along with Seiko Gakuin High School. This initiative focuses on not only the craft of tea production but also on the development of young minds through collaboration, product innovation, and market engagement. As they prepare to re-launch their teas at the end of April 2026, TEA&THINGS is set to introduce exciting new products, including REFRESH PEACH and RELAX APPLE, available in convenient packaging for everyday use.

Furthermore, as part of their community-focused approach, the brand will outsource certain processes, like tea bag filling, to local welfare organizations, ensuring that their operations benefit the community.

The Future of TEA&THINGS

TEA&THINGS continues to evolve, aiming to create a story surrounding each cup that connects consumers with the local culture and community. As they expand their reach, they plan to foster collaborations with students across Japan, embarking on flavor development projects and workshops. By integrating local resources from various prefectures, they aspire to make Fukushima’s unique offerings accessible to a wider audience.
