Uzbekistan's Fourth Tashkent International Investment Forum Aims to Boost Foreign Direct Investment

Fourth Tashkent International Investment Forum to Propel Economic Growth

The Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade (MIIT) of Uzbekistan has announced the fourth annual Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF), slated for June 10-12, 2025, at the Central Asian Expo. This premier economic event will gather more than 3,000 participants from over 75 countries, including major investors, policymakers, and stakeholders in various industries.

A Focus on FDI and Economic Growth

Uzbekistan is witnessing remarkable economic transformation, with a GDP growth rate of 6% in 2023 and over $90 billion in foreign investments attracted. Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, emphasized the country’s evolving role as a significant investment hub within Central Asia, asserting, "The government is taking decisive steps to create a business-friendly climate and eliminate barriers to investment."

This year's TIIF aims to further drive foreign direct investment (FDI) into Uzbekistan, which has been striving for increased economic collaboration with global partners. This follows the notable success of the previous forum in 2024, where approximately $26.6 billion in agreements were signed. TIIF is designed not only as a networking platform but also as a vehicle for fostering strategic partnerships and addressing evolving global economic trends.

Agenda Highlights

The TIIF 2025 agenda will address critical sectors such as:
  • - SMEs as engines for economic growth
  • - Innovations in the automotive and electrical engineering industries
  • - Water resource management strategies
  • - Legal reforms and investor protection
  • - Developments in fintech and e-commerce
  • - Advancements in green energy and sustainable practices
  • - Urban development and infrastructure modernization
  • - Value chains in the textile and chemical industries
  • - The impact of digital transformation and AI on future business landscapes

A plenary session will even be conducted with Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, offering participants the rare opportunity to engage directly with national leadership on investment and development policies.

Looking Ahead

As part of the 'Uzbekistan-2030' Strategy, the government aims to accelerate economic development, projecting that by 2030, the nation’s GDP will reach $200 billion. The TIIF serves as a cornerstone for this ambitious plan, further consolidating Uzbekistan's position in attracting international investment in the rapidly growing Central Asian market.

Participants may register for the forum via www.tiif.online to contribute to and benefit from discussions centered on Uzbekistan’s flourishing economy.

Through this year’s Tashkent International Investment Forum, Uzbekistan aims to showcase not only its investment potential but also the remarkable strides the nation has made in creating a vibrant ecosystem conducive to business and growth. It is an event not to be missed for stakeholders seeking to explore the opportunities offered by one of Central Asia’s fastest-developing countries.
