From September 30 to October 2, 2025, Madrid will host the 17th edition of Fruit Attraction, an event organized by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with FEPEX, with Andalusia proudly serving as the main sponsor. Anticipation is high as this year’s exhibition promises to be the largest in the event's history, featuring a remarkable 2,460 exhibitors from 64 countries, which marks an 8.4% increase from the previous year.
Spanning over 78,000 square meters of exhibit space, this event is set to welcome over 120,000 professionals hailing from 150 different nations, making it a must-attend for industry stakeholders. As a pivotal player in the economic landscape, Fruit Attraction is key to innovation and international outreach within the fruit and vegetable marketing sector.
The 2025 edition will occupy up to 10 halls at IFEMA MADRID, including Halls 3 through 14, meticulously organized by region and sector to enhance the experience of both exhibitors and visitors. Fruits and vegetables will dominate the exhibition, occupying around 70% of the space, solidifying their strategic importance in the overall offerings.
vendors from the supply industry and fresh logistics will also play significant roles this year, focusing on cold-chain solutions and the transport of fresh goods. A notable highlight will be the InnovaTech area, which encompasses Biotech Attraction and Smart Agro; it has seen remarkable growth of up to 31% compared to 2024, establishing itself as a hub for innovation, research, and technological advancement in the industry.
Among the 2,460 exhibitors, there will be a significant influx of 323 new companies. Domestic participation will make up 52% of the overall exhibitors, illustrating Spain’s leadership on the global stage of fruit and vegetable production. Notably, the international sector has witnessed substantial growth as well, with a record 1,418 companies representing over 47% of the total occupancy. This year also sees the inclusion of 14 new countries including Algeria, El Salvador, Ethiopia, and more, emphasizing the event's role as a platform for international growth and promotion.
To further enhance the exhibition’s appeal, IFEMA MADRID, alongside the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, ICEX, and FEPEX, will implement the International Buyers Programme. This initiative will invite nearly 700 buyers from 67 nations, including key retailers and wholesalers who will add dynamism to the event. Malaysia and Mexico will participate as invited importers, offering an engaging program filled with roundtable discussions, tours, and B2B sessions aimed at strengthening trade relationships.
One of the noteworthy features of this edition is the Organic Hub Tour, a dedicated route highlighting companies with organic-certified products, thereby contributing to increasing their visibility within the exhibition. The event will also offer a robust program of activities, including the Fruit Forum by Timac Agro, which will host congresses such as Grape Attraction and Biotech Attraction. Further, renowned events like the Biofruit Congress and Fresh Food Logistics The Summit will be part of the schedule.
As always, Factoría Chef, sponsored by #alimentosdespaña, will showcase the culinary versatility of fruits and vegetables through engaging live cooking sessions. Additionally, the Innovation Hub will spotlight 50 new products, focusing on innovation and business development within the industry. Notably, this area will feature the Innovation Hub Awards, a hallmark event championing innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the sector.
Fruit Attraction will also celebrate creativity and sustainability through its Best Stand Awards. These awards honor exhibition stands that stand out in four main categories: Most Original Idea, Best Design, Most Sustainable Idea, and People's Choice. Moreover, the 15th APAE Journalism Awards and the Fruit Attraction Awards will recognize esteemed international media outlets focused on the fruit and vegetable industry.
