Contemporary Art at the Folger
The Folger Shakespeare Library is set to launch its latest exhibition titled
Contemporary Art at the Folger, which will take place from
October 2025 to April 2026. The exhibition will spotlight the works of four talented recipients of the Folger Artist Fellowships, a program designed to foster creativity through interaction with the library's extensive collection. This initiative not only celebrates existing artistic expressions but also promotes innovative explorations rooted in historical contexts.
During the
exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to witness small solo displays by these Artist Fellows, who have worked diligently to reinterpret various facets of history, literature, and the arts, each adding their unique voice to the conversation. Throughout the exhibition’s duration, the fellows will also present public talks, sharing insights into their artistic processes and the inspirations drawn from the Folger's resources.
