AM General Showcases Advanced Military Vehicles at Eurosatory 2026

AM General Moves Forward with Groundbreaking Military Solutions at Eurosatory 2026

From June 15 to 19, 2026, the military-focused exhibition Eurosatory held at the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte in Paris, France, will serve as a platform for AM General to showcase its leading-edge military vehicle technologies. Known for their commitment to developing proficient mobile defense capabilities, AM General is set to present its next-generation vehicles, most notably the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) and the JLTV A2. Both of these vehicles are designed with advanced counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) technologies, pushing the boundaries of military operations.

Showcasing the Future of Military Operations

The UGV represents a revolutionary step in autonomous ground vehicle design. Tailored for versatility and operational superiority, this next-generation vehicle is engineered to adapt to diverse military missions. From supply logistics to casualty evacuation, the UGV is optimized for multifaceted usage. It integrates advanced autonomy and drive-by-wire technology, showcasing enhancements that leverage both rugged performance and innovative design.

AM General’s President and CEO, John Chadbourne, emphasized the urgency of incorporating technology in modern warfare. "Eurosatory provides industry and military leaders the opportunity to discuss the evolving battlefield and the ways mission success can be achieved by utilizing cutting-edge technology like the AM General UGV," he said.

Technical Specifications and Strategic Impact

The UGV boasts a powerful 250-horsepower engine along with a payload capacity of up to 6,000 pounds. These specifications allow it to perform a wide array of military functions, including reconnaissance, armed overwatch, and operational support. At the exhibition, the UGV is expected to be equipped with the Hornet remote weapon station, showcasing its effective counter-UAS capabilities. This setup highlights the modular nature of the vehicle, demonstrating how existing tactical platforms can be transformed into cutting-edge unmanned systems to amplify operational reach and soldier safety.

On the other hand, the JLTV A2 will also take the stage, showcasing its sophisticated four-man variant. This vehicle not only integrates a lightweight remote weapon system (Hornet Lite) for enhanced reconnaissance functionalities but significantly improves upon the previous A1 platform. With over 1,000 modifications to its technical data package, the JLTV A2 offers improved manufacturability, increased reliability, and enhanced operational effectiveness. This evolution reaffirms its status as the most advanced light tactical vehicle currently available and is already under evaluation by the US Government.
