EVE Energy, a global frontrunner in lithium battery technology, marked a significant milestone on December 14 with the unveiling of advanced equipment at its new manufacturing facility in Kulim, Malaysia. This state-of-the-art plant, the company's 53rd worldwide, is set to be a cornerstone of EVE Energy's international production capabilities and a vital contributor to sustainable development efforts.
With a focus on producing cylindrical lithium batteries for various applications such as power tools, cleaning devices, and electric two-wheelers, the new facility is designed to be a hub of technological innovation and productivity. Liu Jianhua, co-founder and CEO of EVE Energy, expressed confidence in the plant's potential to enhance cooperation between China and Malaysia in the renewable energy sector. Once operational, it will boost EVE Energy's capabilities in manufacturing, delivery, and international collaboration, enabling us to better meet global customer needs."
EVE Energy's extensive experience in research, development, and manufacturing of lithium batteries spans over two decades, having delivered three billion units globally. The company's impressive growth trajectory is supported by its extensive offerings across various usage scenarios, systems, and sizes. The Malaysian factory is equipped with advanced automation technology, boasting an unparalleled level of automation in the industry and a projected output of 680 million cylindrical batteries annually.
Additionally, the plant has implemented an intelligent digital control system that encompasses the entire product lifecycle and supply chain, ensuring production efficiency and product quality. This innovative approach allows the facility to provide high-quality batteries that meet the demands of customers.
During the launch ceremony, EVE Energy solidified strategic cooperation agreements with several companies, including Greenworks, Chervon, and JTI, aimed at deepening partnerships and opening new avenues for collaboration. Recognizing this advancement, YB Professor Haim Hilman Bin Abdullah, representing the Malaysian government, presented EVE Energy with a plaque of honor designating its local operations as a "Kedah Strategic Partner Industrial Park."
Vincent Wong, Senior Vice President of EVE Energy, emphasized the accomplishments achieved in just 16 months since the construction began in August 2023, stating, "The Malaysian facility is set to commence production in the first quarter of next year, making it the first EVE Energy plant outside its home market to achieve mass production and delivery."
The growing presence in ASEAN, European, and North American markets will enable EVE Energy to efficiently respond to customer demands. Looking ahead, the company plans to leverage its advantageous resources to enhance its technology, manufacturing, and operational capabilities.
