WorkX Announces New Kansai Branch Office
In a strategic move to strengthen its operations in the Kansai region,
WorkX, a leading DX and AI consulting firm based in Tokyo, officially established its Kansai branch on
April 1, 2026. The new office is located at the top of
Hankyu Terminal Building, in
Osaka, and will be led by branch manager
Yoshiki Matsumoto.
Overview of the Kansai Branch
The Kansai branch is set to provide rapid and comprehensive support to businesses in the region, addressing the growing demand for DX and AI consulting services. Until now, WorkX has primarily focused its consulting efforts from its Tokyo headquarters, recognizing that while Tokyo accounts for about 20% of Japan's GDP, there has been a disproportionate concentration of consulting expertise and labor in the metropolitan area. This led WorkX to assess the necessity of expanding its services across the country.
Motivations Behind Opening in Kansai
The decision to open the Kansai branch comes at a time when there is an increasing number of inquiries and requests from businesses in the Kansai area. By establishing this branch, WorkX aims to construct a robust support infrastructure that can more effectively cater to client needs and foster rapid advancements in the region’s business landscape.
For several years, WorkX has provided support primarily through remote and freelance professionals based in Kansai. The opening of this branch now allows the firm to leverage the expertise of over
8,000 freelance professionals alongside the in-house consulting capabilities to commit more effectively to transformation and results for businesses in the Kansai area.
Future Prospects
Looking ahead, WorkX envisions this new branch as a critical step towards enhancing productivity throughout all of Japan. By combining local expertise with its comprehensive services, the company aims to be a reliable partner for transformation and innovation for Kansai businesses, impacting the broader Japanese economy positively.
Insights from Yoshiki Matsumoto
In his statement upon the branch's opening, Matsumoto expressed, "This branch is born out of a strong commitment to better support our clients in Kansai. I have witnessed a stronger resolve among local businesses to embrace transformation, and our goal is to walk alongside them through the planning, execution, and realization of significant transformations. We are devoted to cultivating trust and being the most dependable transformation partner for organizations in this region."
