Trainer Katsutaka Arayama's Comments

Reflecting on last year's challenges, trainer Arayama expressed confidence in Dictheon’s preparations leading to this race. 'He managed the transportation and the discomfort of flight delays exceptionally well last year. Upon arriving at the South Korean stable just before 10 PM, he eagerly consumed his feed. The following day, he seemed energetic during the exercise sessions, showing no signs of fatigue. I believe he has been progressing smoothly up until today’s final training. With no concerns regarding the draw or track conditions, I hope he gives his best without feeling pressured.'

Jockey Takayuki Yano's Commentary

'It was my first time riding Dictheon during the training sessions, and he performed just as I imagined he would in a race. His movement, particularly near the finish line, was impressive. Spending such an extended time with him is a rare opportunity in a jockey's career, and it has been a valuable experience for me. Although reports indicate that the track sand is regularly changed, it has been rainy since my arrival, creating a moist surface. However, the drainage appears promising. Considering that Dictheon has performed well on wet ground in the past, I don’t foresee any issues. Thankfully, he has a manageable draw that isn’t too extreme on the inside.

I'm feeling a bit more nervous than last year, but as a representative of Oi, I am prepared to perform well. I appreciate the support from everyone.'

The anticipation for the Korea Cup is building as racing enthusiasts await the outcome, with Dictheon and Yano's dynamic making a compelling story. Fans can look forward to an exciting race day filled with thrilling moments. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for the results!
