Dunaway and Hoosier Insurance Agencies Join Forces with World Insurance Associates

Dunaway & Hoosier Insurance Agencies Join World Insurance Associates

In a strategic move to bolster its service offerings, World Insurance Associates LLC, ranked among the top 50 insurance brokerages in the United States, has completed the acquisition of two notable insurance agencies: Dunaway Insurance Agency from New Palestine, Indiana, and Hoosier Insurance Agency from Bloomfield, Indiana. The transaction, which took place on June 1, 2025, marks a significant step in World’s ongoing expansion strategy, although specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.

A Legacy of Service and Commitment

Dunaway Insurance Agency, founded in 1979, has built a strong reputation over the years. It was initially sold to Doug Todd in 1994, who, along with his wife Tina Todd, now leads the agency. Dunaway focuses on a diverse array of clients, encompassing commercial, agricultural, and personal lines accounts. Tina heads the personal lines segment, ensuring that clients receive specialized care tailored to their needs.

Hoosier Insurance Agency was established in 1990 by Doug Todd's father. Doug later acquired it in 2005, and it has since concentrated on providing personal lines insurance solutions. With their combined expertise and local knowledge, both agencies are well-positioned to continue delivering exceptional service within their communities.

Commitment to Clients

Douglas Todd, the owner of both Dunaway and Hoosier Insurance, expressed his thoughts on the acquisition. He highlighted the importance of a continued commitment to their clients, stating, "At Dunaway and Hoosier, we understand that continued commitment to our family of clients is the key to our sustained success. We provide our clients with a comprehensive insurance program that affordably protects our clients' earned possessions. As part of World, we will provide additional products and services to our clients."

With this acquisition, clients can expect an expanded range of services that meet their evolving needs. The integration into the World Insurance family not only enhances their product offerings but also provides access to resources and solutions that are tailored to improve their risk management outcomes.

Welcoming New Members to the Family

Rich Eknoian, the CEO and co-founder of World Insurance Associates, warmly welcomed the two agencies into the World family. He noted, "The agencies have strong roots in the communities they work in, and they have an excellent reputation. I know they will continue to be successful as part of World."

The acquisition signifies World Insurance Associates' ongoing efforts to develop its national presence and enhance client satisfaction through strategic partnerships. In addition to this move, the company continues to focus on innovations in insurance solutions, leveraging data-driven analytics to create customized offerings for clients across commercial and personal insurance sectors, as well as employee benefits and wealth management services.

Expert Guidance Throughout the Process

Legal advisement for the acquisition was provided by Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla for World, while Schwell Wimpfheimer Associates represented Dunaway and Hoosier Insurance. This well-coordinated effort ensured a smooth transition, allowing both agencies to join World Insurance Associates seamlessly.
