Informa Markets Moves ProPak Asia 2026 to New Venue for Improved Accessibility and Expansion

ProPak Asia 2026: A New Era Begins

Informa Markets has recently announced a significant transition for its flagship exhibition, ProPak Asia, which is set to relocate to the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Muang Thong Thani for its 2026 edition. This move comes in response to the event's escalating success and the increasing demand from exhibitors.

According to Mr. Sanchai Noombunnam, the Country General Manager of Informa Markets Thailand, this transition underscores Thailand's burgeoning role in the global food and beverage industry. With this year's ProPak Asia 2025 having attracted over 72,000 visitors and 2,000 exhibitors from 42 countries, the current venue has now reached its capacity, prompting the need for expansion.

Marketplace Surge

The global market for food and beverages is projected to increase from $6.2 trillion in 2024 to an astounding $9.8 trillion by 2032, driven on one hand by evolving consumer habits and increased demand for convenience, and on the other, by a heightened awareness of health trends. The Asia-Pacific region, particularly countries like China, India, Thailand, and Vietnam, are at the forefront of this growth.

ProPak Asia 2026 aims to capture this momentum and further enhance its stature as the premier exhibition for the processing and packaging sectors throughout Asia-Pacific. The new venue at IMPACT offers over 70,000 square meters of exhibition space, an impressive 30% increase from previous years, enabling it to accommodate more exhibitors and engage a larger audience.

Features & Accessibility

The choice of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani is strategic. The venue is not only spacious but also boasts excellent connectivity. It provides easy access via the skytrain, private vehicles, and public transport, making it convenient for visitors from nearby airports and major industrial zones. Additionally, it has the capacity for significant growth, aligning with the vision of ProPak Asia to become a global hub in the manufacturing, processing, and packaging industries by 2028.

Future Prospects

The upcoming event, scheduled for June 10-13, 2026, is already showing strong signs of confidence, with 95% of the exhibition space reportedly pre-booked during the last event, indicating robust interest from the industry. The event will spotlight cutting-edge technologies and innovations, further enhanced by the ProPak Connect platform, which aims to facilitate collaborations across the industry.

Notably, prominent figures in the packaging industry have expressed their support and enthusiasm about the transformation of ProPak Asia. Mrs. Luciana Pellegrino, President of the World Packaging Organization, noted that sustainable and eco-friendly packing is a significant trend that aligns with ProPak Asia’s trajectory. The logistics and innovations presented at the exhibition will address current and emerging challenges in packaging, particularly in sectors like food and pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Joseph Ross S. Jocson, President of the Asian Packaging Federation, pointed out that the region’s packaging market is set to reach $190.55 billion by 2025, showcasing the industry’s resilience and evolving nature. With sustainable materials, smart packaging, and premium design trends on the rise, ProPak Asia will be a critical platform to showcase these developments.

Mr. Ali Badarneh from UNIDO emphasized the importance of ProPak Asia as a collaborative space for industry leaders and policymakers to exchange ideas, particularly in creating a sustainable food system.

Overall, the relocation of ProPak Asia to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani signifies not just a logistical change but a strategic pivot towards an expansive future for processing and packaging industries in Asia and beyond. As the 2026 dates approach, anticipation builds for what promises to be the most transformative ProPak Asia yet.
