In a significant move for its commercial portfolio, Skanska has officially divested two well-occupied office buildings in Ørestad City, located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. The company secured approximately DKK 1.0 billion (around SEK 1.5 billion) from the sale, marking a strategic decision aimed at optimizing its real estate investments.
Details of the Transaction
The buyer for this notable acquisition is PensionDanmark, a respected player in the pension fund sector. Skanska plans to document this transaction in its financial reports for the fourth quarter of 2025, with the actual property transfer scheduled for January 2026. This sale is set to enhance Skanska's liquidity and allows the firm to reinvest the proceeds into future developments.
The two buildings involved in this sale represent modern architectural advancements in office space design and functionality. The first building, located at Ørestads Boulevard 41, was built in 2018. This structure, which spans approximately 11,100 square meters, previously served as the headquarters for Sweco Denmark, providing a prime location for one of Denmark’s leading engineering companies.
The second property, Ørestads Boulevard 45, dubbed
