Integra Resources Welcomes Chantal Lavoie to Its Board of Directors

Integra Resources Corp. has made a significant announcement regarding the expansion of its leadership team. The company is excited to reveal that Chantal Lavoie, a distinguished engineer and seasoned executive, will be joining the Board of Directors. This strategic decision aims to leverage Mr. Lavoie’s extensive experience in the mining sector to guide the company through its upcoming projects and growth initiatives.

Chantal Lavoie brings over four decades of rich experience in the mining industry, encompassing various facets such as mine development, operations, capital project execution, and corporate governance across key mining commodities, including gold, diamonds, iron ore, and base metals. Mr. Lavoie’s most recent role was as the Chief Operating Officer at Rio Tinto Iron Ore Company of Canada, where he successfully managed scale operations and oversaw a workforce of more than 3,000 employees in Labrador and Northern Quebec.

Before his time at Rio Tinto, Mr. Lavoie served as Chief Operating Officer for Dominion Diamond Corporation and held the position of President and CEO at Crocodile Gold Corporation, where he impressively escalated annual gold production from 75,000 to 200,000 ounces. His esteemed career also includes vital roles at De Beers Canada Inc., further solidifying his credibility in the industry.

Currently, Chantal holds the position of Chair and Independent Director at Troilus Mining Corporation. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining Engineering from Laval University, Quebec, along with necessary credentials as a Professional Engineer in Ontario and Quebec, and designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

In welcoming Mr. Lavoie, Anna Ladd-Kruger, Chair of the Board at Integra, expressed her enthusiasm for the appointment. She emphasized that his operational leadership and technical prowess honed through years of experience in major global mining companies will be instrumental as Integra moves to enhance its production capabilities and development pipeline across its U.S.-based projects.

George Salamis, President and CEO of Integra, echoed these sentiments, highlighting Mr. Lavoie’s impactful career in managing complex mining operations and optimizing operational frameworks across multiple commodities and regions. As the company focuses on improving operations at Florida Canyon, progressing with the Delamar Project, and exploring additional avenues for growth, Mr. Lavoie’s insights and strategic approach are likely to play a vital role.

Integra Resources, now under the guidance of this newly strengthened board, is committed to demonstrating profitability and operational excellence mainly at its operating asset, the Florida Canyon Mine located in Nevada. Additionally, it looks to advance its critical development-stage heap leach projects, notably the past-producing DeLamar Project in Idaho and the Nevada North Project.

This appointment not only reflects Integra's strategic direction towards sustainable growth but also reinforces its commitment to the highest industry standards in environmental, social, and governance practices. As a company prioritizing value creation for its shareholders, stakeholders, and local communities, the addition of Mr. Lavoie promises an informed and innovative direction for the future.

As Integra Resources continues to carve its niche in the precious metals sector of the Western United States, the leadership change is a significant step towards achieving heightened operational success and sustainable mining practices that cater to the needs of all its stakeholders.
