Envision Energy Drives Global Wind Technology Forward with DNV Type Certification for TG Pro Wind Turbine
Envision Energy Takes a Giant Leap in Wind Innovation
Envision Energy, a global frontrunner in green technology, has reached a remarkable milestone with the acquisition of Type Certification from DNV for its cutting-edge wind turbine model, TG Pro (EN-206/8.35 60 Hz). This achievement not only underscores the technological maturity of the next-generation turbine platform but also highlights a fruitful collaboration between Envision and DNV. The certificate handover, celebrated on September 28, 2026, during the WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 event, emphasizes the critical role of independent validation in bolstering advanced wind technology development.
The TG Pro turbine has made waves in both Chinese and international markets since its launch in 2024, attracting numerous orders and undergoing rigorous validation processes at prototype and commercial levels. The turbine boasts a high-performance architecture, an optimized aerodynamic design, and intelligent control technologies that significantly improve energy capture and generation efficiency across a variety of wind conditions.
Long-term reliability is key to the TG Pro's design; it incorporates robust components and engineering solutions tailored for demanding operational environments. Its validation process has seen comprehensive component testing, digital twin simulations, and multiple site-based prototype operations leading to a thorough assessment of performance and dependability. The DNV Type Certification provides third-party confirmation that the turbine design meets all applicable certification requirements.
Yimin Lou, Envision’s senior vice president and product director, remarked, “The ongoing advancement of our next-generation turbine portfolio is founded on rigorous validation and real-world application. The DNV certification of TG Pro further illustrates the maturity of the platform and its readiness to serve clients across diverse international markets. As renewable energy systems evolve, Envision will continue to propel intelligent, reliable, and high-performance turbine technologies to harness more value on a large scale from renewable energy.”
Mette Redanz, vice president of Renewable Energy Certification at DNV, added, “Independent certification is vital in fostering trust in wind turbine technology, as it assists manufacturers, developers, and other stakeholders in assessing performance, reliability, and compliance of new turbine platforms. We are pleased to support Envision through the certification of TG Pro.”
In addition to the TG Pro, Envision showcased its broader portfolio of wind turbines at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026. Its EN-156/5.0 MW platform has obtained provisional Type Certification from Bureau Veritas, completing the certification process in under five months and providing third-party evaluation of the design and technical capabilities ahead of wider commercial deployment.
Engineered for the Asia-Pacific region, the EN-156/5.0 MW model is set to be installed at the Manar wind project in Sri Lanka, marking Envision's first utility-scale wind turbine order in the country. The turbine features a hub height of 110 meters and enhanced anti-corrosion specifications, making it suitable for coastal environments with high salinity and humidity levels. This blend of international certification and real-world project deployment showcases the platform’s commitment to reliability and environmental adaptability, supporting its application in Sri Lanka and other markets in the region.
Collectively, these two certification milestones exemplify Envision's unwavering commitment to rigorous engineering, independent validation, and the development of products tailored to specific markets. By collaborating with leading international certification bodies and clients across various landscapes, Envision is pioneering wind turbine technologies that fuse performance, reliability, and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the global energy system.
