WCB was established in July 2019 and has since gained popularity among craft beer enthusiasts in Shizuoka, operating five local stores, two in Osaka, and one in Okinawa, along with a unique hotel concept that allows visitors to stay at the brewery. The decision to venture into Tokyo came after a notable pop-up event at Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, held last spring, which exceeded expectations and attracted a new fan base. This encouraged WCB to respond to demand by establishing permanent locations in Tokyo.

Hopbeat Records: A Craft Beer and Music Hub

The first of the two venues, Hopbeat Records, opened on June 20th and is situated on the B1F of the Shin-Marunouchi Building, just steps away from Tokyo Station. This minimalist beer stand captures the charm of a record shop, offering six types of draft beer and over ten varieties of canned beer, available for takeout. Travelers can grab a beer for their train ride, while shoppers and office workers can enjoy a quick visit for a refreshing pint. The warm atmosphere is enriched by around 2,000 vinyl records lining the walls, creating a cozy soundscape featuring jazz curated by the staff.

This beer restaurant offers an impressive array of 20 draft beers alongside a creative menu focused on Tex-Mex cuisine, designed to complement the beverages.
