PROTEOR Unveils ETHOS™ LP: A Revolutionary Low-Profile Prosthetic Foot

PROTEOR Introduces ETHOS™ LP: A New Era in Prosthetics

On October 20, 2025, PROTEOR unveiled its latest innovation, the ETHOS LP, a state-of-the-art prosthetic foot designed to transform mobility for users. Not just an enhancement of previously available models, the ETHOS LP sets a significant benchmark in the low-profile amputee solutions market, prioritizing both performance and comfort.

Addressing the Needs of Users

Historically, low-profile prosthetic feet have faced limitations that hindered natural motion and overall user satisfaction. With ETHOS LP, PROTEOR aims to rectify these issues. By incorporating advanced technology, it consists of a three-layer composite structure known as FusionFlex. This feature comprises a robust fiberglass core for enhanced durability, overlain with carbon fiber layers, optimizing energy return for various activities.

Eric Ferris, PROTEOR’s Vice President of Global Marketing and Product Management, emphasized the company’s commitment to improving user experiences: “When we analyzed feedback from patients and clinicians about low-profile options, it became apparent that our new design could significantly enhance independence and well-being for many.”

High-Performance Features

What sets the ETHOS LP apart are its numerous innovative features, including:

  • - Multiaxial Rotation Plate: Made from a proprietary rubber blend, it allows for axial rotation, inversion, eversion, and separation of the heel and keel, offering versatile movement capabilities.
  • - High Energy Return and Shock Absorption: An integrated heel bumper ensures shock absorbance during heel strikes while providing maximum energy return, perfect for active lifestyles.
  • - Smooth Rollover Mechanics: The half rocker sole plate facilitates uninterrupted contact with the ground, leading to a smooth and seamless transition in movement.
  • - Adaptability to Terrain: With a split keel and heel design, users can navigate varying terrains, slopes, and obstacles with ease.

Tim B., a certified prosthetist, shared his positive experiences with the ETHOS LP: “The flexibility of this foot has been a game-changer. I can engage in activities like mountain climbing or gym workouts without feeling restrained by the design, ensuring I remain confident while on the go.”

Available Soon

The ETHOS LP will be available for purchase in the United States starting on October 20, 2025, with plans for a global rollout in 2026. This dramatic entry marks PROTEOR's intention to redefine how prosthetic feet perform, focusing on user needs and adaptability.
