Chloé has introduced its latest addition to the Nomade fragrance line, titled Nomade Lumière d'Égypte. This new scent draws inspiration from the roots of the brand’s founder, Gaby Aghion, and takes us on a mystical olfactory journey back to Egypt. The fragrance story begins with the sacred Blue Lotus, which blooms by the Nile, entwined with the mysterious notes of the ancient Egyptian incense, Kifi. This creates a timeless aroma that unfolds quietly, inviting fans into a fragrant legacy.

Launched in 2018, the Nomade fragrance line encapsulates the intuitive and free spirit of the Chloé woman. It's not about the internal world but rather about embracing adventures beyond one’s horizons. It symbolizes a journey taken with lightness, reflecting a woman who walks freely and joyfully, adapting to her unique rhythm without carrying unnecessary burdens.

Exploring New Horizons

Following the previous release, Nomade Nuit d'Égypte, the Nomade series continues to honor Gaby Aghion's Egyptian heritage with this new chapter, Lumière d'Égypte. Gaby, known for her independent spirit, established her base in Paris but always cherished the vibrant colors illuminated by Egypt's light.Combining floral notes and ancient history, this new fragrance leads us to the banks of the Nile, where the revered Blue Lotus, an Egyptian native flower, blooms, symbolizing purity and divinity. This flower opens at dawn and closes in the afternoon, exuding a delicate and airy floral scent. This freshness merges beautifully with the rich, sweet aroma of Jasmine, layered with the deep, smoky essence of Kifi. The recipe for Kifi, one of humanity's oldest perfumes, is recorded in ancient temples and embodies rituals dedicated to the sun god, Ra.

Chloé's master perfumers have ingeniously reinterpreted this age-old scent in contemporary terms as part of the Nomade Egypt series.

A Mythical Life Force

The conception of Lumière d'Égypte was guided by perfumer Cécile Matton, who drew inspiration from the refreshing waters of the Nile, the lush vegetation along its banks, and the gleaming deserts beyond, wrapped in the magical Egyptian light. She was captivated by a pulse of life that flows with the sun's rhythms, beginning with the soft top notes of the Blue Lotus Accord.

This delicate floral scent unfolds refreshingly, with green nuances that suggest deep florals in the air. The sweetness of jasmine wraps this delightful aroma, enhancing its allure. The champion of this fragrance, Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute, brings a smooth warmth akin to luxurious velvet. Towards the end, a mineralistic sensuality emerges, resembling the winds that sweep across the sand dunes. Spicy accents from Pink Pepper and Elemi tighten the scent, while a unique Kifi Accord, blended with Cinnamon Bark, Sandalwood, and Myrrh, represent a modern interpretation of ancient incense used in Egyptian temples. This revised accord completes the bright and mysterious world of the Lumière d’Égypte Eau de Parfum.

Packed in a bottle that symbolizes the Nomade line, it is elegantly adorned with a newly added “Dusk Blue” knot. The campaign visuals showcase the bottle against a stunning backdrop reminiscent of ancient pottery, cloaked in deep Mediterranean blue tones, with lotus flowers accentuating the fragrance's enchanting essence.

Pricing and Release

The Nomade Lumière d'Égypte fragrance is priced at ¥11,550 for 30ml, ¥16,720 for 50ml, and ¥20,790 for 75ml, all inclusive of taxes. It will be available starting from August 6, 2025.
