Sunwave's Revolutionary 5G Solution at MWC 2026
At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 held in Barcelona, Sunwave Communications has made a significant mark by unveiling its all-in-one site solution designed for carrier-grade environments. This innovative setup promises to deliver a 5G connection within a remarkable timeframe of just 30 minutes, catering to the needs of remote, temporary, and mission-critical scenarios.
With the telecommunications landscape continuously evolving, Sunwave's all-in-one site addresses a pressing challenge: the need for swift, reliable connectivity in locations where traditional infrastructure is either too expensive or too slow to deploy. Historically, sites in remote mining camps, construction zones, major events, or film production locations have faced hurdles such as lengthy construction cycles and limited access to transmission sources. These issues often result in connectivity schedules that do not align with operational requirements.
The answer to these challenges lies in the integration of cutting-edge technologies within the all-in-one site. This solution combines satellite backhaul, private 5G, edge computing, and IoT capabilities into a single, rapidly deployable unit. Not only does this enable operators and business users to establish an independent 5G network in a short span, but it also ensures reliable coverage even in challenging environments where infrastructural options are scarce.
In a discussion with Mobile World Live, Fan Zhang, the General Manager of Strategy and Marketing at Sunwave, emphasized the core value of this solution. He remarked, “The essence of the all-in-one site lies in its comprehensive integration and rapid deployment. It empowers customers to build resilient networks exactly where and when they are needed.”
High-Powered DAS Solutions
At MWC 2026, Sunwave further showcased its third-generation high-power Digital Antenna System (DAS) solutions: the H3RU and the N3 Plus. The H3RU is versatile, supporting frequencies from 700 MHz to 4200 MHz with an output power reaching up to 46 dBm. It allows for flexible single-band 4T4R or quad-band Single Input Single Output (SISO) configurations, alongside a bandwidth capability of up to 400 MHz per channel. This solution is tailor-made for complex environments like tunnels, stadiums, airports, and campuses, supporting high-capacity multi-band networks.
On the other hand, the N3 Plus is a compact, 5-liter device covering frequencies from 600 MHz to 4200 MHz, incorporating 12 channels and supporting up to five-band Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) with a 400 MHz bandwidth per channel. It meets the diverse demands of multi-operator and multi-standard access while boasting O-RAN compatibility and advanced energy-saving features for more eco-friendly network operations.
Cutting-Edge Base Stations
In addition, Sunwave introduced its latest base station model, the nCELL-M, which features an all-in-one design with an impressive capability of delivering up to 37 dBm and an integrated 5G gateway. The nCELL-M supports multi-carrier operations and offers flexible spectrum configuration options, ensuring quick plug-and-play deployment.
Another highlight is the 5G femtocell, designed to provide compact yet potent coverage for homes, offices, and densely populated indoor environments, ensuring seamless connectivity for both private and enterprise-level 5G networks.
As connectivity demands become increasingly dynamic, Sunwave commits to delivering intelligent and agile solutions that redefine how and where networks can be constructed, establishing a brighter future for telecommunications.
