PowerX Adjusts Production Plans for High-Capacity Energy Storage Systems

PowerX Revises Production Plans for Mega Power Series

In a strategic move, PowerX Co., Ltd., a company headquartered in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, has announced modifications to its production schedule for high-capacity energy storage systems. Under the leadership of CEO Masahiro Ito, PowerX will add the recently unveiled "Mega Power 4000" series to its manufacturing offerings at both its main plant and the new facility in Hokkaido, known as "Power Base Hokkaido."

Changes to the Production Timeline

Originally set to commence operations in June 2027, the start date for the new Hokkaido factory has been shifted to July 2028. This adjustment reflects changes in building specifications and aims to improve capital efficiency. Both manufacturing locations will maintain an annual production capacity of 800 units, ensuring that PowerX meets the growing demand for its storage solutions.

Despite the delays at the Hokkaido facility, the main plant in Tamano is on track, with a new production line scheduled to start operations in January 2027 as planned. This line will play a significant role in helping PowerX meet customer needs, especially in the lead-up to expanding production capabilities in the upcoming years.

Capacity and Production Structure

As part of its production capacity strategy, PowerX has ensured ample delivery capability to its clients. By the fiscal year ending December 2027, the company will operate two facilities: the headquarters plant and the Okayama No. 2 factory, located within the Mitsui E&S Tamano plant. The subsequent fiscal year, ending in December 2028, will see the inclusion of the Hokkaido plant, bringing the total to three operational sites.

The Okayama No. 2 facility will begin producing the Mega Power 2500 model in September 2026, further strengthening PowerX's comprehensive production strategy. The introduction of a two-shift system is also planned to enhance production efficiency and ensure a steady output.

Overview of Production Plans

Conclusion

These updates, including alterations to the capital allocation plan related to the revised production capabilities, are part of PowerX's ongoing commitment to meeting its customer's needs for reliable energy storage solutions. With a well-structured plan in place, the company is poised to grow significantly in this vital sector.
