New Perspectives for the Future

The 4th edition of the China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair officially started on May 22, 2025, in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. With the theme "New Perspectives for the Future," this year's expo aims to strengthen trade ties between China and Central and Eastern European countries. More than 15,000 professional visitors from 72 countries and regions are expected to attend, showcasing a vibrant marketplace.

The event occupies 80,000 square meters, divided into two main zones: the CEEC exhibition area and the export consumer goods area. Over 400 exhibitors from the CEEC region will present more than 8,000 unique products, including Czech beer, Slovenian honey, Hungarian down products, and Slovenian skiing equipment. Meanwhile, more than 1,000 Chinese companies will display high-quality consumer goods and smart technologies, providing a valuable opportunity for international buyers to explore an array of innovations.

Key events will take place during the expo, including trade meetings, intergovernmental exchange activities, and a series of conferences. Notably, the joint meeting of the China and CEEC chambers of commerce and the 7th China-CEEC dialogue on customs, inspection, and quarantine cooperation aim to unify regulations to facilitate trade. In addition, the China-CEEC Mayors Forum 2025 will focus on creating a new paradigm for urban governance, while the International Regatta China-CEEC seeks to enhance personal exchanges between nations. Furthermore, an interactive shopping festival titled Hi-Go will be introduced, combining online and offline experiences.

This year's expo honors Slovenia and Slovakia as special guests and will feature participation from all 14 CEEC countries, alongside exhibitors from nine additional countries, including the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Prominent organizations such as the World Bank, the EU Chamber of Commerce in China, and major global firms like Sanofi, Novartis, and Morgan Stanley have also been invited to engage in this significant trade platform.

Looking ahead, the goal of the Expo is to expand collaborative potential and boost cooperation levels. By promoting a standardized communication and cooperation mechanism, this initiative aims to harness new opportunities in industrial transformation and investment. As the event unfolds, it promises to facilitate deeper connections and bolstered partnerships between China and the vibrant economies of Central and Eastern Europe, charting a course for mutual growth and innovation.
