UAE and China Collaborate to Build a State-of-the-Art Agritech Hub in Al Ain
A New Era in Agricultural Innovation
In a significant development for the agricultural landscape of the UAE, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, recently witnessed the signing of a strategic partnership between Silal, a pioneering agri-food and technology firm based in Abu Dhabi, and Shouguang Vegetable Industry Group (SVG), a prominent Chinese company. This partnership will lead to the establishment of a cutting-edge Agritech hub spanning over 100,000 square meters in Al Ain.
This ambitious project represents a major milestone for both the UAE and the broader agricultural sector in the region. SVG has committed to investing more than AED 120 million into this innovative agritech facility, which is set to leverage advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and robotics, to enhance precision farming practices, increase operational efficiency, and foster sustainable agricultural innovations across the entire value chain.
