Aomori's Fresh Plums: A New Luxurious Smoothie Introduction

In an exciting collaboration for its second edition, Aoki Fruits Co., based in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, has partnered with Aomori Prefecture to unveil the 'Supreme Plum' smoothie. This gourmet treat will be available for a limited time starting September 16, 2025, at the FRUITS IN LIFE location in Tokyo Midtown.

The Supreme Plum Smoothie

This smoothie is crafted with rare, fresh plums, setting it apart from the typical dried fruit impressions commonly associated with plums. The Supreme Plum smoothie captures the peak season’s essence, featuring fresh plums that are perfectly balanced in sweetness and acidity. Moreover, plums are not only delicious; they are also packed with nutritional benefits. Rich in dietary fiber, potassium, vitamin E, niacin, and polyphenols, they cater particularly well to health-conscious consumers.

FRUITS IN LIFE prides itself on purity, crafting this smoothie without any added sugars, syrups, or ice. Instead, the focus is solely on the fruits, ensuring that the fresh plums’ quality and ripeness shine through. This attention to detail speaks to the commitment of the 'Supreme Series,' emphasizing seasonality and ease of drinking.

Promoting Aomori's Fruit Diversity

The 'Fruits of Aomori' campaign kicked off in 2024, aiming to boost awareness of Aomori’s exceptional fruits. Although Aomori is the top producer in terms of shipment value and quantity in Japan, the focus has predominantly been on apples, leading to the under-recognition of other delightful fruits.

This collaboration is designed to introduce more of Aomori's diverse fruits to a wider audience. Following its previous partnership with 'General McLark' in November last year, this marks the second initiative in highlighting Aomori's lucrative fruit offerings.

The plums chosen for this smoothie are cultivated at the foot of the Hakkoda Mountains, nurtured by the unique temperature variations between day and night. The dedicated farmer, Mr. Kawamura of the Aomori Kanko Apple Orchard, is known for growing over 100 different agricultural products, including apples, other fruits, vegetables, and flowers. He is also an active member of the 'Young Agricultural Top Runner Academy,' which aims to promote Aomori through agriculture.

Continuing its support for these passionate farmers, FRUITS IN LIFE is determined to shine a light on Aomori’s bountiful fruits.
