Pasona Group Wins Encouragement Award for Its Online Field Trips

Pasona Group's Online Field Trip Program

Pasona Group, based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has recently been recognized with the Encouragement Award at the 2022 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s e-Experience Award. This prestigious award highlights companies excelling in promoting youth experiential activities. Pasona’s commitment to continuous social contribution has been pivotal in earning this accolade.

Since 2022, Pasona Group has been tirelessly working on the "Online Field Trip" initiative. This program aims to create opportunities for children who face challenges traveling, whether due to health issues, disabilities, or financial constraints. The initiative is driven by Pasona's Social Contribution Committee, which seeks to enable children to experience various cultural and educational activities as if they were physically present in the location.

To date, the Online Field Trips have connected children to popular attractions and events across Japan. For instance, participants have enjoyed virtual experiences of the Nijigen no Mori anime park located in Awaji Island, Hyogo, and also the PASONA NATUREVERSE pavilion at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka. These immersive experiences allow children to partake in engaging activities that transcend geographical barriers, providing valuable educational moments.

Impact of the Program

Since launching the program, Pasona Group has successfully partnered with 139 institutions, enabling approximately 3,600 children to participate in these unique experiences. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the program's effectiveness in overcoming physical limitations to offer enriching activities.

A key highlight of the Online Field Trips includes engaging experiences linked to the popular attractions at Nijigen no Mori. One notable activity involved connecting kids to a live simulation of the "Godzilla Strike Operation," where participants could take part in related quizzes and experience thrilling video footage of a zipline adventure. This thrilling integration has led to five successful sessions where children from various facilities across Tokyo, Aichi, Osaka, and others could partake in this exciting virtual journey.

Additionally, Pasona Group hosted six online visits to the PASONA NATUREVERSE pavilion, allowing children from both Japan and abroad—around 500 participants from seven countries—to explore the groundbreaking exhibition. Through interactive tours and quizzes, children could learn about the festival without needing to travel to Osaka. This virtual showcase underscored the potential of technology in making educational experiences accessible to children who would otherwise miss out.
