Sky Labs Unveils CART ON: The World's First Ring-Shaped Blood Pressure Monitoring Solution
Sky Labs Unveils CART ON
On February 10, 2026, Sky Labs, led by CEO Jack Byunghwan Lee, announced the launch of "CART ON", marking a significant milestone in medical technology. This innovative product is touted as the world's first ring-shaped blood pressure monitoring solution designed specifically for use in hospital wards.
Transforming Blood Pressure Monitoring
CART ON has expanded Sky Labs’ portfolio beyond its earlier ambulance and consumer offerings, entering the essential domain of inpatient blood pressure monitoring. Alongside existing certified medical devices such as "CART BP pro" for outpatient clinical use and "CART BP" for consumers, CART ON makes up a comprehensive range of products catering to all aspects of blood pressure measurement, from everyday use to critical hospital environments.
The CART ON device is engineered with the comfort of patients and efficiency of medical staff in mind. Traditional methods of measuring blood pressure can be cumbersome; however, CART ON streamlines this process. Medical professionals can now prescribe this ring monitor for patients requiring 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), significantly enhancing the overall patient experience. Equipped with a built-in photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, the device automatically measures the user's blood pressure and gathers pertinent data without the discomfort typically associated with traditional cuff devices.
Integration with Hospital Systems
Data collected through CART ON seamlessly integrates with Seers Technology’s monitoring platform, known as "thynC". This integration facilitates automatic transmission of recorded data to nursing station dashboards and the hospital's electronic medical records (EMR) system. Currently, exclusive distribution rights for this solution are held by Daewoong Pharmaceutical, a prominent South Korean pharmaceutical firm, which is set to supply it through the country’s hospital distribution networks.
Sky Labs has prioritized global technical and clinical reliability by conducting comparative studies against established standard methods, including auscultation, ABPM with conventional cuffs, and invasive arterial pressure measurements (A-line). The comparative studies, particularly against the A-line, acknowledged as the gold standard in blood pressure monitoring, demonstrated that CART ON is capable of precise monitoring even in instances of significant blood pressure fluctuations.
Enhancing Medical Staff Efficiency
The introduction of CART ON is positioned to further enhance the efficiency of healthcare professionals in monitoring setups. With reduced room for human error in manual data entry and simplified tasks related to record-keeping and reporting, medical personnel can focus more on critical responsibilities such as medication management and fluid administration. Additionally, doctors can capitalize on the accuracy of diagnoses and appropriateness of prescriptions grounded on objectively measured and consistently available data.
Moreover, benefits extend to the patients themselves. The absence of traditional cuff pressure and mechanical sounds associated with regular blood pressure monitors greatly minimizes disturbances during sleep. Monitoring can proceed without interference even when patients are active or moving within the hospital environment, enabling easy capture of 24-hour blood pressure variations.
Jack Byunghwan Lee remarked, "CART ON is a solution that enhances the management efficiency of hypertension patients at medical wards through clinically validated technology." He added, "We aim to advance monitoring technologies, including blood pressure, to create a wise ward environment that enhances both operational efficiency for healthcare staff and comfort for patients."
About Sky Labs
Founded in September 2015, Sky Labs is committed to developing and operating health solutions that address chronic disease management. Initially focused on monitoring atrial fibrillation utilizing optical sensor cardiac signals, the company has since broadened its horizons. In 2023, it secured medical device approval for "CART BP pro", a ring-shaped device for 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. This device was recognized in 2024 by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) under the existing medical protocol for "ambulatory 24-hour blood pressure monitoring". Currently, it is prescribed across hospitals and clinics in South Korea. Following that, in September 2025, Sky Labs launched "CART BP", a consumer-specific blood pressure monitor, available through its official online store and various digital sales channels.
