Oisix's Support Activities Following the Kumamoto Earthquake
In response to the Kumamoto Earthquake, Oisix Inc., a subscription service provider for food products, has introduced an initiative titled 'EAT and SEND for Kumamoto.' This program aims to provide assistance to the affected communities by offering Kumamoto specialty products and meal kits with an attached donation component, starting on July 30, 2026. The company has also commenced delivering essential supplies such as beverages to help combat the extreme heat.
Oisix expresses heartfelt sympathies to all those impacted by the earthquake. The organization has forged cooperative ties with various local governments including Uto City, Mifune Town, Yatsushiro City, Hikawa Town, and Tsunaki Town to determine the respective needs of the communities.
Details of the Support Initiatives
'EAT and SEND for Kumamoto'
The initiative allows customers to contribute to Kumamoto's recovery through their shopping. For each of the approximately 80 selected products that include local goods and meal kits, 50 yen will be donated to support recovery efforts in the region. Additionally, Oisix matches the amount contributed by customers, directly channeling these funds to NPOs engaged in recovery and reconstruction operations in Kumamoto. Customers can find details about the donation recipients on the corporate website once finalized.
Donation Campaign
Oisix encourages members of its services—Oisix, Radish Boya, and Daichi wo Mamoru Kai—to contribute voluntary donations through a dedicated account set up for this purpose. The donation period extends until August 31, 2026, and there are no minimums imposed on contribution amounts.
Ongoing Supply Support and Community Participation
Oisix is committed to continuously supplying products to local producers affected by the earthquake. Contributions include beverages deemed crucial for heat management and overall wellness. As a part of this support, Oisix has dispatched 1,200 bottles of vegetable and fruit juices from selected farms in Kumamoto to its partners for distribution to local producers.
Furthermore, starting on July 30, 2026, Oisix is launching a community involvement initiative where for each purchased bottle of a designated beverage (Salty Water), an equivalent bottle will be donated to those in need in the disaster-stricken areas. The total for this initiative is capped at 35,000 bottles, and it will conclude once the inventory is depleted.
