The 8th Annual Conference: Unleashing Well-Being Through Play, Work, and Learning
The Japan Society for Care Informatics (JSIC), led by Executive Director Yoichi Takebayashi, will host its 8th Annual Conference (CIHCD2025) on November 15-16, 2025. This year’s theme is "Unleashing Well-Being Through Play, Work, and Learning," aimed at exploring the intersection of these three essential dimensions of life.
The conference kicks off on November 15 at the TKP Shinagawa Conference Center. Attendees can engage in an interactive session that fosters dialogue among participants, stakeholders, and experts in the field. The following day, the conference moves to Tamagawa University’s STREAM Hall 2019 for a series of thought-provoking talks and wrap-up sessions. Since this is an in-person event, no online format will be available, although videos of the talks will be accessible afterward for on-demand viewings.
Message from the Conference Chair
Naoki Uchida, Director of Taro Clinic under Suzuran Medical Corporation, serves as the Conference Chair. Uchida shares the society’s evolution, from its inception in 2017 as the Japan Society for Dementia Information to its current form, emphasizing the need for innovation in care and education. "In the era where AI technology accelerates remarkably, the importance of daily activities like play, work, and learning increases significantly for enhancing our well-being," Uchida states. He emphasizes the vital contributions of such activities on mental, physical, and social health.
At this year’s conference, the focus will be on the scientific evidence supporting how these activities contribute to well-being, particularly for senior citizens and those suffering from dementia. Among the insightful presentations will be an introduction to the remarkable initiatives of the Community Design Lab in Miyazaki Prefecture.
