For instance, a single mother from Bali expressed gratitude for the daily electric vehicle (EV) bike rentals, which let her focus on her earnings without the burden of vehicle ownership costs. In another case, a driver from Makassar noted that her role as a Grab driver provided crucial support after her husband suffered a stroke.

In addition to facilitating labor mobility, Grab has shown commitment to the safety and well-being of its women driver-partners. The company has introduced various safety features within the app, such as a Women Passenger Preferred option, allowing women drivers to match with female passengers. Moreover, Grab offers training and education programs, comprehensive safety protocols, and vehicle service discounts as part of their ongoing support.

Rivana Mezaya, Director of Digital and Sustainability at Grab Indonesia, remarked, “Our mission focuses on enhancing economic empowerment, especially for disadvantaged groups, including women.
