Tokyo Points to V Points Exchange

Starting from October 20, 2025, users of the official Tokyo app will be able to exchange their earned Tokyo Points for V Points, thanks to a collaboration between CCCMK Holdings and Sumitomo Mitsui Card Company. This new feature enables residents to utilize their Tokyo Points, which they accumulate by participating in socially beneficial activities guided by Tokyo's initiatives.

What are Tokyo Points?

Tokyo Points are unique points awarded within the Tokyo app for engaging in activities that hold social significance. Through this initiative, users are encouraged to partake in local engagement, thereby not only earning points but also contributing to community well-being.

The Exchange Process

Once the exchange service launches, users can easily convert their Tokyo Points into V Points. The exchange rate is straightforward: 100 Tokyo Points will equal 100 V Points. The steps are simple:
1. Tap on the 'Points Exchange' button on the app's home screen.
2. Select 'V Points' on the subsequent screen.
3. Input the amount of points you wish to exchange and tap 'Exchange' at the bottom of the screen.
4. You will be redirected to the V Points website to log in.
5. After logging in, return to the exchange screen, agree to the terms, and complete the exchange.

Usage of V Points

Once exchanged, V Points can be utilized at approximately 160,000 stores nationwide that partner with V Points. Users can present their mobile V Card or V Points accumulating card at these stores. Furthermore, if the V Points are charged into the V Points Pay app, they can be used at around 100 million Visa-affiliated locations worldwide, treating each point as one yen.
