Huawei Introduces Enhanced AI WAN Solution to Drive Operator Growth

Huawei Introduces Enhanced AI WAN Solution

Huawei recently unveiled its improved AI WAN solution during the Net5.5G Intelligent IP Network Summit held in Paris on October 14, 2025. The summit, themed "Thrive with Net5.5G for All Intelligence," highlighted the company's advancements in technology aimed at helping operators spur growth in a highly competitive market.

AI-Centric Architecture

Leon Wang, President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, delivered a keynote titled "AI-Centric Xinghe Intelligent Network Boosting New Growth for Carriers." In his speech, Wang explained that the new AI WAN solution is built on a three-tier architecture that includes AI-centric devices, AI-centric connections, and an AI brain that redefines IP carrier networks in the Net5.5G era. By implementing these advancements, Huawei aims to expedite the transition for carriers toward a new, more intelligent network phase.

The upgraded AI WAN solution tackles stagnation in home broadband growth and the notable homogenization of service offerings. To address these challenges, Huawei has integrated its Xingluo identification and profiling engines, which enable application-level monetization. This allows operators to create differentiated service offerings while achieving over 90% accuracy in identifying potential customers.

Addressing Business Needs with AI

Amidst the growing demand for AI computing solutions in businesses, Huawei’s AI WAN has proven effective for operators like China Telecom Shanghai. It has enabled the launch of private smart computing lines, overcoming traditional network performance bottlenecks. Utilizing the lossless Xingluo algorithm, the solution ensures precise flow congestion control while protecting data through vector conversion technology. Huawei's solution also supports collaborative edge-cloud training, which could potentially double the average revenue per user for operators and deliver a return on investment within two years.

Enhanced Security Measures

To combat increasingly complex network threats, Huawei’s AI WAN solution enhances security resilience across device, network, and configuration layers. It includes features such as session-level failure isolation and quantum-resistant encryption. With online configuration simulation, the system can audit thousands of devices within ten minutes, minimizing human error and enhancing service security for customers.

As network demands continue to expand, traditional operating and maintenance models face significant pressure. Huawei's NetMaster system guarantees round-the-clock network protection, transitioning operations from reactive to proactive management. In practical implementations, operators like China Mobile Guangdong have reduced diagnosis time from 45 minutes to an impressive 5 minutes thanks to a knowledge base of 300,000 cases. Furthermore, MasOrange Spain has effectively deployed a Level 4 autonomous IP network driven by Huawei's AI WAN, achieving lower average repair times while simultaneously reducing costs and increasing efficiency.

The summit concluded with the Net5.5G Pioneer Awards ceremony, recognizing over ten global operators and accelerating the commercial deployment of the Net5.5G technology worldwide.

This latest development underscores Huawei's commitment to enhancing network capabilities and driving innovative solutions within the telecommunications sector. The AI WAN solution’s implementation will undoubtedly shape the future landscape of telecommunications and serve as a catalyst for growth among operators worldwide.
