PSO2 New Genesis Ver.2 Update: New Trials and Features

On May 6, 2026, SEGA launched an exciting update for the popular online RPG PSO2 New Genesis ver.2 (NGS), introducing a variety of new content, including the Gret Lappy Hunt trial in the Alter Realm exploration. Gret Lappy Hunt

The Gret Lappy Hunt trial begins on May 6, at 12:00 PM and runs until the maintenance start on May 20. This event will take place in the Combat Section: Otherworldly Frontlines: Frozen Area, giving players a chance to take down the elusive Gret Lappy. Players are encouraged to join forces during this time to make the most of the experience.

To celebrate this new content, SEGA has also added limited-time tasks that reward players with the Super Star Festival '26SP Scratch Ticket upon completion. So, gather your friends and tackle the Gret Lappy together to earn exclusive rewards!

Revamped Emergency Quests

Starcrush Blitz D.2

Alongside the new trial, a previous emergency quest, Starcrush Blitz D.2, is receiving an upgrade. It is back with a more playable difficulty, featuring the Phantom Dark Falz Dalian, which is designed to accommodate eight players. This quest will replace other emergency quests available in the Kvaris Region during the event, providing players with a focused challenge.

Players can also obtain limited-time tasks during this period, enabling them to earn the Reward Box Medal: Dalian '26. This medal can be used to draw from the Super Reward Box: Dalian '26, where players can win a 5th Anniversary Thankful Scratch Ticket for May as a completion reward. Seasonal Exchange Shop Updates

Seasonal points can now be redeemed for exciting new items at the Seasonal Point Exchange Shop. Additionally, rare items like the Super Star Festival '26SP Scratch Ticket and N-Master Cubes will also be available.

Lobby Action & Motion Revival May '26

From May 6 to May 20, players can participate in the Lobby Action & Motion Revival May '26 scratch campaign. This revival will reintroduce fan-favorite lobby actions and waiting motions, such as PR Pose 11 and Two-shot Pose 2. As a bonus, players can also win an Elga Gladiate Sole S through the bonus rewards for multiple pulls.

5th Anniversary Thankful Scratch

Additionally, to celebrate the fifth anniversary of NGS, a special revival scratch called 5th Anniversary Thankful May will be available from May 6 until June 3. Players can collect tickets in-game to access a free version of the scratch. This will prominently feature items from the previous year’s events, commemorating significant moments from both PSO2 and NGS.
