Toshiro Chiba, the CEO of Macbee Planet, recently participated as a speaker in the "IPO Management Training Program TOHOKU (Phase 4)". This initiative is organized in collaboration with various organizations, including the 77 Bank, Tohoku University, Miyagi Prefecture, Sendai City, and the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The program aims to nurture leadership among business executives aspiring to go public in the Tohoku region.

In 2023, the Tohoku area is witnessing a rise in the number of companies aiming for public listing, with three new firms set to go public. The ongoing support for startups and key regional enterprises reflects a growing enthusiasm among local businesses to engage with the stock market, further energizing the regional economy.

During his presentation, Chiba focused on the demands placed on listed companies, sharing his journey since joining Macbee Planet as the IPO responsibility manager in October 2018. He highlighted key milestones, including the company's successful listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Mothers section in March 2020, and the upcoming transition to the Prime Market slated for July 2024.

Chiba offered insights into why Macbee Planet chose to pursue an IPO, emphasizing the necessity for sustainable growth that does not rely on individual capabilities. He also elaborated on essential considerations that companies should focus on from the preparatory phase, including crisis management and establishing an effective governance structure. In July 2024, he is set to lead the company to transition to the Prime Market.
