Pony Canyon, the prominent entertainment company based in Minato, Tokyo, is collaborating with Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank to utilize their respective strengths in the 2024 city promotion project for Yamagata. The Yamagata Marche will not only highlight the city’s attractions but also aim to foster connections with individuals living outside the city, encouraging increased interactions and tourism.
What to Expect at Yamagata Marche
During the three-day event, visitors can expect a variety of products that showcase the rich cultural heritage and specialties of Yamagata City. The offerings include local favorites such as honey products, kuri kinton butter, fruit pound cakes, dried fruits, black garlic, and sauna hats, among others. The fair aims to provide a comprehensive look at what Yamagata has to offer.
Special Event Day on November 15
On November 15, designated as Event Day, special activities will take place at Gifutokyo’s storefront area. Visitors can participate in the art of daruma making, engage with local artisans such as Art Fuji, who will be conducting live demonstrations, and receive promotional materials about Yamagata City. A promotional video will also be showcased to further highlight the city’s features.
Exclusive Gifts for Attendees
For those who spend 2,000 yen or more on Yamagata's specialty products between November 14 and 16, the first 100 shoppers will receive a special gift. On November 15, attendees can follow the official Instagram account and complete a survey for a chance to win additional prizes.
