F-Puco Unveils 2026 Report on Business and ESG Initiatives
F-Puco Co., Ltd., led by Chairman Mamoru Sato, recently published its "F-Puco Report 2026" outlining its business activities and efforts related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. The report was made available on the company’s website as of July 23, 2026. Since its founding in 1962, F-Puco has continually focused on creating a comfortable food environment while addressing various environmental and social challenges through the manufacturing, sale, and recycling of food trays and containers.
The report features several case studies demonstrating F-Puco's value creation, including the following initiatives:
Store-to-Store® Recycling
F-Puco's Store-to-Store® initiative promotes a unique recycling method known as the "F-Puco Method Recycling." This involves collecting food trays, clear containers, and PET bottles that have been used and sold at stores and recycling these items back into food trays and clear containers for reuse within the same store. The aim is to enhance community engagement in cyclical recycling processes, influencing both the stores selling food items and the consumers purchasing them to adopt a more conscientious recycling mindset.
Freezing and Cold-Resistant Containers to Reduce Burden in Healthcare
As staffing shortages continue to challenge nursing facilities and hospitals in providing three stable meals daily through in-house preparations, the use of frozen foods has seen increased adoption. One of F-Puco's innovative contributions to this sector is their cold-resistant material, "PPiP-Talc®", which is utilized in the development of freezing containers that help alleviate the workload on those delivering meals in such environments.
DP Series for Efficiency and Quality Preservation in Packaging
F-Puco has developed a new type of tray that controls "drip,” a key factor significantly affecting the freshness and taste perception of food products. With a honeycomb structure on its base, this lightweight tray maintains sufficient strength while eliminating the need for absorption mats previously essential for moisture management, thus streamlining the packaging process.
Special Feature: F-Puco Fair
The annual F-Puco Fair represents the private showcase of the F-Puco Group, typically held every spring. Drawn by an impressive turnout of over 10,000 participants, including food distribution professionals and retail business operators, this year's event took place at the Ariake GYM-EX venue.
