Taiyo Koogyo's Enrollment Ceremony for 2026 New Graduates

On October 1st, Taiyo Koogyo Co., Ltd., a leading company in large membrane structures and civil engineering materials, hosted an enrollment ceremony for new graduates expected to join in April 2026. As part of the celebration, the attendees participated in a recreational activity, themed around utilizing waste materials from pavilions and structures associated with the upcoming Osaka-Kansai Expo. Ideas presented ranged from mitigating the urban heat island effect through 'membrane × water × vertical greening' to innovative uses for diverse membrane materials as souvenirs. The event sparked vibrant discussions about their contributions to a sustainable society and the future possibilities of using membranes.

Furthermore, to foster camaraderie among the new hires, the schedule was packed with engaging programs, including a fun Marshmallow Challenge—a team-building game using pasta, tape, string, and marshmallows to create the tallest freestanding tower. The day proved to be a fantastic opportunity for the new hires to deepen their understanding of Taiyo Koogyo and build connections with one another.

President's Address

In his welcoming remarks, President Yuki Nomura introduced the significant role AI plays in today’s society. "As AI integrates into our daily lives and business, it profoundly impacts how we work and think. I wish for all of you to harness AI, combining it with your unique human abilities—dreaming and innovating—to carve out your future," he said.

Nomura emphasized the need to explore the potential of AI actively over the next six months before their employment commencement. His vision for Taiyo Koogyo involves accelerating global business initiatives and participating in various events, including collaboration on the 'Taiyo no Tsubomi' sauna at the Expo.

The company is on a trajectory towards significant growth, with aspirations to reach a scale of 100 billion yen. With an expanding workforce, there are ample opportunities for graduates to tackle diverse challenges within the company as a part of the Taiyo Group.
