Official Interview with 'StarLight PolaRis'

Q: Reflecting on the past five years, what feelings come to mind?
Kuni: There have been both joyous and challenging moments throughout these five years. I strongly feel that we've grown alongside our listeners all this time. Whether it was pushing ourselves to post videos under tight schedules or attempting quirky live streams, we’ve never been perfect. Yet, it’s the support from our fans that has made the journey possible.

Yuukisaragi: Absolutely, it’s that imperfection that has fostered our growth. Initially, we started out doing everything ourselves, from writing songs to creating merchandise. Establishing VOISING and witnessing our fan base grow has been a transformative experience. Our willingness to experiment and learn has shaped our identity, and I believe we have all matured significantly over these past five years.

Kottaro: I've personally felt tremendous growth as well. Starting from an unknown group, I truly believe that without our collaborations, we'd not have garnered the support we do now. The chemistry and the support from staff and fans have afforded us opportunities to explore various challenges. Now, it feels like a new chapter is unfolding for 'StarLight PolaRis'.

Coe: To an outsider, it may appear that we've grown seamlessly, but we've faced our share of frustrations, not always able to pursue our desired activities. The bond we've built and our ability to communicate openly have allowed us to come this far. Even in the face of obstacles, we carry the confidence that we can overcome them together.

Relu: Looking back, those frustrating moments are overshadowed by the laughter and unity we've shared as a group. Regardless of the situation, our fans have always been with us, enabling us to enjoy our work. I cannot express enough gratitude to everyone who has supported 'StarLight PolaRis'.

Q: What spurred the release of your first-ever best album at this point in your career?
Coe: We felt that after reaching our five-year milestone, it was important to create something that would allow us to look back on our journey alongside our fans. While diverse songs like "I'm Here for You Every Day" highlight our energetic side, it's essential that our newer fans also discover the depth of our original songs from when we were just starting out.

Relu: It’s true; we have so many great songs that deserving inclusion was a hotly debated topic among us during selection.

Q: The album features a fresh recording and remixing of many songs. What was behind that decision?
Relu: We all wanted to re-approach these tracks in light of our growth. Everyone felt that these songs could be performed better now, and it was essential for us to deliver an impressive product for our fans.

Kuni: We undertook a particularly rigorous schedule of one and a half to two months to complete these recordings, all while maintaining our usual online activities. It wasn’t easy, but we pushed through because we were determined not to settle for anything less than our best.

The members reflect on the growth they have experienced through challenging times and express their commitment to their fans and each other as they continue to navigate the ups and downs of their career. With exciting plans for future performances and goals aimed towards national venues, 'StarLight PolaRis' is poised for greater heights.

Looking ahead, they are set to hold a sold-out concert at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in January 2026, a launchpad for even larger ambitions.

Kuni: Our ultimate dream is to perform in arenas across the country, step by step with our listeners.

Kottaro: We hope to use this hall concert as a springboard toward even bigger stages.

Coe: We're determined to transform this concert into a fresh launchpad as we endeavor to remain a guiding light for our fans.

Yuukisaragi: We’re excited to infuse new elements into our performances as we evolve, with our listeners receiving plenty of joy in the process.

Relu: Ultimately, we want to ensure that every moment is enjoyable and worth remembering, supported by our resolute team and fans. We’re ready to tackle future challenges with excitement.

Stay tuned for what lies ahead from 'StarLight PolaRis' as they continue to shine brightly on their journey!
