Understanding the Climate Communication Gap


In an age where climate change is becoming an increasingly pressing issue, a new study released by the Potential Energy Coalition, with support from the Rockefeller Foundation, sheds light on the ways effective communication can significantly enhance public support for climate action. This extensive research involved more than 83,000 participants across six major democracies: the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Canada. The findings suggest that when climate communications resonate with people's everyday lives and highlight real consequences, support for necessary solutions increases substantially.
