Exploring Contemporary Architecture: Architectural Lecture Series 2025



On May 28, 2025, Okayama University will host the first session of the "Architectural Lecture Series 2025" aimed at delving into the current trends and practices in architecture. This event is spearheaded by the university's Green Innovation Center and the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Science's Urban Environmental Creation Course.

This series will invite industry professionals from various fields to stimulate discussions on contemporary architectural practices and their intersection with societal needs. The first lecture will be conducted by the esteemed architect Yoshiyuki Mande, founder of Mande Architects. His presentation, titled "Creating Small Connections with the Outer World," promises to provide insightful perspectives on how architecture can foster meaningful interactions in our communities.

This event is targeted at university and high school students as well as the general public. Admission is free, making it accessible to anyone interested in architecture and urban planning. However, since seating is limited to 300 participants, early registration is advised.
