Sapporo Holdings Pioneers AI-Driven Customer Experience Strategies
On March 16, 2023, Sapporo Holdings, under its digital transformation (DX) policy, will launch a testing phase of AI-generated initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experience and Sales. The initiative will take place at the Ginza Lion Shibuya Mark City location, a part of the Sapporo Group's strategic plans to leverage digital technology for operational efficiency.
The project employs the "exaBase Studio" platform provided by Exawizards, an AI agent development and operational platform. This groundbreaking initiative demonstrates the potential of artificial intelligence in not just improving efficiency but in directly contributing to business outcomes through value creation.
Analyzing Purchasing Data
To identify and address key challenges, the AI agent will analyze purchasing data from the Ginza Lion Shibuya Mark City store. This includes over 20 different types of analyses focusing on peak shopping hours, price distribution, and basket analysis. The AI agent will execute and interpret this analysis to generate actionable strategies that must be validated swiftly within the organization.
AI-Generated Strategy Examples
Among the strategies developed by the AI agent during this phase is a promotional offer for after-work gatherings. This includes a special set available from 3 PM to 5 PM on weekdays, which comprises a carefully curated selection of Sapporo Black Label draft beer in small glasses coupled with a trio of appetizers, all for the price of 980 yen (tax included). Club LION app members can avail an additional 200 yen discount by displaying their membership on the app.
The promotion is set to run from March 16 to May 15, 2023, at the Shibuya Mark City location, aimed at increasing foot traffic and enhancing customer satisfaction by meeting their demands for both quality and value.

The goal is to build a collaborative model that combines AI with on-the-ground knowledge, fostering a new operational structure driven by data. Following evaluations of this trial phase, Sapporo Holdings plans to expand these initiatives across other stores and areas.
