Get Ready for Honey Festa 2025
From July 25 to 27, 2025, the enchanting streets of Ginza in Tokyo will transform into a paradise for honey lovers with the
Honey Festa 2025. Organized by the
Japan Honey Meister Association, this event aims to elevate awareness and appreciation for honey just ahead of
World Honey Day on August 3rd. With free admission, this three-day fest promises a delightful experience full of tastings, workshops, and much more unique activities dedicated to honey and its various uses.
Rediscovering the Joy of Honey
Many people mistakenly believe that all honey tastes the same. However, different species of plants and geographical origins can create a vast array of flavors, colors, and aromas. The Japan Honey Meister Association strives to enhance interest in honey's deliciousness, encouraging attendees to explore diverse types of honey from across Japan and around the globe. The festival, which first launched in 2013, is intended to raise curiosity and foster a deeper appreciation for this natural delicacy, recognizing honey as a versatile food that can enrich daily life.
Key Features of Honey Festa 2025
Celebrating its 10th year,
Honey Festa will focus on two main objectives: 1) Allowing visitors to truly enjoy the delightful flavors of honey, and 2) Teaching participants various ways to use honey effectively in their daily lives.
1. Honey Tasting and Purchasing
The event will feature approximately
100 varieties of honey from
23 countries, showcasing some rare and uniquely flavored options. Attendees can enjoy free tastings and even purchase honey directly from producers and beekeepers. Alongside diverse honeys, a range of honey-based products such as honey beer, candies, and bee-related goods will be available for sale.
2. Interactive Workshops
Throughout the festival, engaging workshops will provide opportunities to learn about honey's uses in cooking and beauty. Tickets for these workshops will be available online starting June 27, and sessions will happen only on weekends.
3. The Honey Contest
An exciting addition to the event is the
8th Honey of the Year Contest, where finalists selected from around Japan will be tasted by festival-goers, enabling visitors to vote for the best honey. This contest will take place on the weekend, with tickets distributed on the day of the event.
