Kia America Begins 2025 with Record-Breaking January Sales
Kia America has opened 2025 with record-breaking sales numbers, achieving an impressive total of
57,007 units sold in January alone. This marks
a significant 12% increase over the same month last year, showcasing a solid start for the automotive company that has been experiencing continued growth over the past few years.
Notably, this surge in sales comes after Kia completed two consecutive years of record-breaking annual sales, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to delivering quality vehicles and customer satisfaction.
The standout performers in January included popular models such as the
Forte/K4,
EV6,
Carnival,
Telluride, and
Sportage, all of which achieved their highest sales ever for the month. For example, sales numbers for the Forte/K4 surged by
29%, while the EV6 saw an
increase of 27% compared to the previous year.
Eric Watson, the vice president of sales operations at Kia America, remarked on this notable trend, stating, "Kia is experiencing a continuous increase in SUV sales, primarily driven by the exceptional appeal of our X-LINE models. We are maintaining this growth momentum by delighting customers with the launch of K4."
In addition to the impressive sales results, Kia has also announced several initiatives aimed at supporting communities and promoting sustainability. The company has donated
$250,000 to the American Red Cross to assist in relief efforts for victims of the
2025 California wildfires. Furthermore, an additional
$100,000 was raised through live concerts held at the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome on January 30th. The proceeds will be used to help rebuild communities affected by the wildfires in Southern California.
Kia's focus on innovation and sustainability has also been recognized in industry circles. The
2024 EV9 was honored as one of the most impactful vehicles of 2024 by
WardsAuto, making it onto their top 10 list. Praised for its bold design and spacious interior, the EV9 adds to Kia's diverse and evolving lineup of vehicles.
Meanwhile, Kia's all-new
K4 has been nominated as a finalist for the prestigious
2025 North American Car of the Year Awards. This recognition follows the back-to-back wins for the
all-electric Kia EV6 and
EV9, further solidifying Kia's reputation as a leader in automotive innovation and excellence.
