Entercare Institute's New Research Fellow
Entercare Institute, headquartered in Nakano, Tokyo, is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Kazumi Kubota from Shimonoseki City University’s Faculty of Data Science as a Research Fellow. This strategic collaboration aims to address pressing issues in healthcare and nursing care, especially in an aging society, by leveraging data science.

Professor Kazumi Kubota: A Profile
Professor Kazumi Kubota is an esteemed academic with a specialization in data science, health psychology, nursing management, and more. After serving as a nurse at Musashino Red Cross Hospital and later as a researcher at the Japan Medical Policy Institute, he transitioned into academia. In 2025, he is slated to become a professor in Shimonoseki City University’s Faculty of Data Science, focusing on the intersection of big data and healthcare policy.
His impressive educational background includes a doctoral degree in Health Science from the University of Tokyo, during which he honed his expertise in healthcare economics and clinical epidemiology. Alongside his academic roles, Professor Kubota also holds credentials as a nurse and public health officer, contributes to projects at the University of Tokyo’s Medical Center, and has active involvement with various non-profit organizations dedicated to healthcare policy.
