Dreams Take Flight at Haneda: Celebrating Aspirations on April Dream

Dreams Take Flight at Haneda

In a unique celebration of aspirations, April Dream will take place at the Haneda Airport from March 20 to April 10, 2026. This event, in collaboration with Sumitomo Real Estate Commercial Management, aims to be a beacon of inspiration, resonating both locally and globally with dreams expressed in both Japanese and English.

Concept Behind April Dream

Launched in 2020, April Dream is an initiative encouraging everyone to share their dreams on April 1st, free from skepticism. This year, the Haneda Airport Garden will transform into a jubilant space adorned with 30 meters of digital signage that features handwritten dreams from 11 distinguished figures and the international aspirations of study abroad students through the Tobitate! Study Abroad Japan program.

Notable Participants and Their Aspirations

Among the featured personalities are actors like Hiroyuki Eguchi, singer Fuyumi Sakamoto, and athletes such as Wataru Endo and Aki Takahashi. Their personal written declarations of ambition will illuminate the event, inviting guests to reflect on their dreams. The student dreams will feature a variety of aspirations—from restoring endangered species to making space exploration accessible to all.

Dream Sakura: A Symbol of Hope

As visitors wander through the Haneda Airport Garden, they will encounter installations representing the Sakura, a symbol of spring in Japan, inscribed with dreams in both languages. The concept, **
