Purpose and Significance of the Society

The Society of Veterinary AI and Robotic Surgery aims to investigate and promote surgical operations using AI and robotic technologies within the field of veterinary medicine. Recognizing Japan’s unique strengths—exceptional manual dexterity and integrated diagnostic skills—the society is poised to elevate veterinary practices on a global scale.

While Japan's veterinary community has historically followed advancements from Western countries, this initiative seeks to turn that trend around and establish a new standard in veterinary care.

The society also addresses pressing issues within the medical field:
1. Sacrificial Imbalance: Continuous healthcare must balance the burdens shared among veterinary professionals, avoiding scenarios where individuals sacrifice their well-being.
2. Public Affordability: As medical technology advances, it often becomes more expensive, creating barriers for families in need of urgent care, especially concerning surgeries.

By utilizing data to enhance the transparency and safety of surgical practices, the society aims to develop a more compassionate medical framework for animals, thereby promoting a healthcare ethos that prioritizes their welfare.

The Role of Anicom Group

Founded in 2000, Anicom Group has been instrumental in supporting veterinary medicine through insurance. Historically, our primary role focused on prompt and appropriate claims handling. Moving forward, we aim to leverage big data to uncover causes of incidents and illnesses, establishing a robust societal immunity against such issues.

Addressing the challenges faced by both the medical and insurance sectors requires a collaborative evolution. In partnership with the Society of Veterinary AI and Robotic Surgery, we aspire to enhance surgical safety and instill a new level of confidence for pet owners by quantitatively demonstrating the reliability of surgeries.

In a rapidly transforming veterinary landscape, the expectations for continuous innovation and collaborative progress have never been higher. Together, we are dedicated to delivering trust and safety in animal healthcare through the integration of AI technology in surgical procedures.
