ALAENA: A Touch of French Organic Skincare in Japan
The renowned French organic skincare brand,
ALAENA, hails from the charming coastal town of Biarritz in the Basque region. Founded in 2012 by
Sylvie Perez, ALAENA is making a monumental entrance in Japan with its inaugural pop-up shop at Isetan Shinjuku's Beauty Apothecary, set to run from March 25 to March 31, 2026. This event marks an exciting milestone for the brand as it expands its reach and introduces the unique essence of French organic skincare to beauty enthusiasts in Japan.
A Brand Commitment to Sustainability
At the heart of ALAENA’s philosophy is a commitment to sustainability. The brand is characterized by its luxurious use of natural plant-based ingredients, delivering high-quality and straightforward formulas that are kind to the skin and environmentally conscious. Each product is ECOCERT COSMOS certified, ensuring that over 95% of the ingredients are derived from natural sources, and at least 20% of the total ingredient weight comes from organic farming.
Currently, ALAENA's products are available at the prestigious Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto Spa, frequented by luxury travelers from around the globe. During the pop-up event,
Alaia Perez, the youngest daughter of Sylvie Perez, will be there to personally introduce the brand's philosophy and product range to visitors, offering a unique opportunity to connect directly with the brand's heritage.
Special Experiences and Promotions
Visitors to the pop-up will be treated to an exclusive experience: a complimentary
hand treatment provided by a certified therapist. Attendees will have the chance to feel the textures and benefits of ALAENA's products on their skin. After the treatment, guests will receive a customized sample (3mL) of a face mask tailored to their skin type, perfect for continuing the pampering at home.
Featured Products: Luxury Meets Nature
Among ALAENA’s standout products is the
Uile Fleur (Beauty Oil), priced at ¥21,780 for a 100mL bottle. This signature item is a versatile oil suitable for hair, face, and body. Formulated with a blend of four organic oils—Jojoba seed oil, Buriti fruit oil, Jojoba seed oil, and Raspberry seed oil—it envelops the skin in moisture while imparting a delicate fragrance from century-old rose petals.
Another star product is the
Masque Fruite (Peeling Mask), retailing at ¥22,176 for 50mL. This innovative mask is loaded with five plant-derived fruit acids that gently refine skin texture, making it ideal for a time-efficient skincare routine; simply apply and rinse after 10 minutes.

EAU ALAENA (Fragrance Water), a 100mL bottle priced at ¥16,456. Infused with the essence of Damask rose water and aloe vera, this alcohol-free fragrance hydrates the skin while offering an invigorating burst of green and floral aromas.
