Beko's Remarkable Sustainability Achievement



Beko, a prominent name in the global home appliance industry, has successfully achieved an impressive score of 86 out of 100 in the 2025 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). This significant accomplishment is not just a testament to Beko's unwavering commitment to sustainability but also marks its seventh consecutive year of leading the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment in the Durable Household Products (DHP) sector.

A Strong Commitment to Sustainability

This evaluation was based on a thorough assessment dated October 16, 2025, where Beko outperformed 79 other companies in its category. The company’s persistent dedication to enhancing its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics plays a crucial role in securing such high rankings.

From 2024, Beko has initiated over 332 energy efficiency projects, contributing to approximately 60,000 gigajoules of energy savings. Furthermore, the company has successfully integrated eco-friendly practices across its manufacturing processes, with around 60% of its total electricity consumption derived from renewable sources, while increasing its renewable energy capacity to an astonishing 90 MWp.

Circular Economy and Water Efficiency

Beko has also made significant strides in embracing circular economy principles; through its initiatives, the company has refurbished more than 114,000 appliances, reducing waste and promoting reuse. Its commitment to water efficiency is equally impressive, having saved over 223,000 cubic meters of water through various projects.

The recognition of Beko's Ankara Dishwasher Plant as part of the Global Lighthouse Network highlights its position as a pioneering manufacturing facility on the global stage. Currently, three factories operated by Beko have earned global recognition for their exemplary manufacturing practices.

Future Goals and Climate Action

Beko's sustainability strategy encompasses ambitious long-term goals, such as achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. In the near term, the company targets a 42% reduction in both absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions, as well as Scope 3 emissions from product usage by 2030, using 2022 as a baseline year. By 2050, Beko aims for an impressive 90% reduction in both absolute Scope 1 and 2 and Scope 3 emissions.

Hakan Bulgurlu, Beko's CEO, commented on this remarkable performance, stating, "We are constantly innovating to develop advanced technologies that enhance energy efficiency while reducing carbon footprints. This approach is fundamental in shaping our long-term strategies and solidifying our sustainability efforts."
