Trina Storage Teams Up with Pacific Green Energy
In a significant move toward enhancing clean energy storage solutions, Trina Storage, a subsidiary of Trinasolar, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pacific Green Energy Group. This collaboration aims to deliver an impressive 5 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of battery energy storage systems (BESS) over the span from 2026 to 2028. The strategic partnership promises to bolster energy reliability while propelling the transition to a sustainable low-carbon future.
A Milestone Collaboration
The MoU, which was officially signed by Scott Poulter, CEO of Pacific Green, and Helena Li, President of Trinasolar, marks one of the largest energy storage collaborations in the global renewable energy arena. Once operational, the initiatives under this agreement will have the capability to store and dispatch up to five billion watts per hour into the energy grid.
This ambitious project positions Trina Storage as a key player in delivering advanced grid-scale battery systems, showcasing cutting-edge technology designed for efficiency, safety, and durability. Pacific Green, on the other hand, will manage the development and operational execution across several sites in Australia and other international markets.

Building On Established Foundations
The MoU builds upon Trinasolar's established presence in Australia, following earlier ventures such as the 1.5GW Vertex N module supply agreement with Marubeni in Australia. Additionally, the collaboration coincides with the Limestone Coast North Energy Park Project announced earlier in 2025, which holds an enterprise value of AUD $460 million with plans for a capacity of 250 MW/500 MWh. Such projects underscore Trinasolar's strategic role in delivering integrated solar and storage solutions across the Asia-Pacific region.
Currently, Pacific Green manages a global storage pipeline of 11 GWh, with 7GWh set in Australia and 4GWh across Europe. This metric highlights the strong, expanding alliance between the two companies in propelling the global clean energy transition forward.
